Fue adem\u00e1s el primer cantor de &#8220;baladas rancheras&#8221;; quedan como ejemplos &#8220;M\u00e1s all\u00e1&#8221; y &#8220;El pecador&#8221;, entre otras. Desafortunadamente, Javier falleci\u00f3 el 19 de abril de 1966, cuando a\u00fan no cumpl\u00eda los 35 a\u00f1os de edad.
