Desde ese tiempo, nuestro pa\u00eds fue receptor de esta corriente que modific\u00f3 la estructura de la antigua danza habanera, g\u00e9nero rom\u00e1ntico entonces de moda. Los primeros boleros de autor mexicano se escribieron en Yucat\u00e1n, sin embargo, la primera obra de fama nacional fue lograda en 1921 por el maestro Armando Villarreal Lozano, quien escribi\u00f3 una canci\u00f3n titulada &#8220;Morenita m\u00eda&#8221;. Aunque en la partitura su autor no le especific\u00f3 alg\u00fan g\u00e9nero, se trata de un bolero, el primero escrito en tierras mexicanas que se gan\u00f3 el coraz\u00f3n de muchas naciones.
