Me viene del coraz\u00f3n, del monte sereno y santo. Cu\u00e1nta historia hay atr\u00e1s de esta frase dicha as\u00ed con ritmo percutivo para abrir el trabajo musical que ha ganado el <strong>Grammy 2023<\/strong> al mejor \u00e1lbum de jazz latino: <strong>Fandango at the Wall in New York.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se unieron la Conga Patria y la orquesta de jazz afrolatino de Arturo O\u2019Farril, y de esta uni\u00f3n resalta la tradici\u00f3n con su sonido contempor\u00e1neo, los ritmos negros, \u00e1rabes y espa\u00f1oles. No se pierdan Fly away, con Rahim Alhaj, Sahba Motallebi y Conga Patria Collective, estupendo ejemplo de esta fusi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para Radio M\u00e9xico Internacional es un honor tener de viva voz a tres de los integrantes de este colectivo: <strong>Wendy Cao Romero<\/strong>, jarana, voz y zapateado; <strong>Patricio Hidalgo<\/strong>, m\u00fasico, investigador, y compositor; y <strong>Tacho Utrera<\/strong>, laudero. Y desde aqu\u00ed saludamos a sus otros integrantes: <strong>Ram\u00f3n Guti\u00e9rrez, Fernando Guadarrama <\/strong>y <strong>Jorge Francisco Castillo<\/strong>. En palabras de Patricio: \u201c<em>ha sido un trabajo sorprendente para todos, en cinco a\u00f1os se ha logrado una pel\u00edcula, un libro, un disco y un Grammy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es un material vers\u00e1til, con letras ancladas en la cr\u00edtica social, polirritmia y po\u00e9tica, con el sabor potente de la banda de<strong> Arturo O\u2019Farril<\/strong> y su sonoridad urbana y neoyorkina. Sin olvidar que todo nace por los fandangos en el muro fronterizo. Esa fiesta que se hace entre Tijuana, Baja California y San Diego, California, desde 2008, donde esa pared de cuatro metros refuerza el poder de la m\u00fasica y la danza. Entre la brisa del mar, las jaranas y la tarima con su lado mexicano y su lado gringo, parece enarbolarse una bandera que grita \u201ccon el fandango hasta el fin del mundo\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dejemos que sus voces lo digan mejor.
