The Dears, la banda canadiense de indie rock, regresa con su sexto álbum presentándonos su segundo sencillo: “Face of Horrors”.
Una canción de pop barroco llena de órganos y cuerdas que nos dice ‘Our love won’t fail us in the face of horrors’. Ésta canción, como el resto del álbum ,tiene un sonido notablemente orgánico, como dijo el guitarrista Patrick Krief en una entrevista: “[There was] almost no edits, few punch-ins, zero auto-tune, humans playing everything. This record can’t be played by laptops”.
Murray Lightburn, vocalista, agregó que debido a la gran trayectoria que tiene la banda, no se preocuparon por nada fuera de la producción el álbum: “We really did not give a fuck about anything but the creation of the work, as it should always always be. We just tunneled in deep until we couldn’t see any light behind us, looking for the light ahead of us. We thought only of the people driving in their cars, laying in bed with headphones, or running on the treadmill of life. The stories, the songs on the album is a playlist for all those people.”
La verdad es que este nuevo sencillo nos tiene muy emocionados. No te pierdas “Face of Horrors” por Reactor 105.7.
