El poeta, cr\u00edtico y editor Jos\u00e9 Homero<\/strong> lanza estos d\u00edas una preciosa colecci\u00f3n de 20 cuentos del gran escritor brit\u00e1nico<\/span> Saki. <\/strong><\/span>Bestiario y superbestiario<\/i><\/strong>, que es como se llama la antolog\u00eda, seleccionada, traducida y prologada por \u00e9l, forma parte de la serie Biblioteca del Universitario de la Universidad Veracruzana, instituci\u00f3n educativa que el a\u00f1o pasado cumpli\u00f3 80 a\u00f1os de existencia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

El fino sentido del humor, el perfecto buen gusto, la profundidad sat\u00edrica, la extraordinaria capacidad para el relato indirecto, son algunas de las cualidades de este brillante escritor nacido en la vieja Birmania en 1870, y fallecido 46 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, en 1916, durante una batalla de la Primera Guerra Mundial. Las cualidades literarias de Saki llamaron poderosamente la atenci\u00f3n de alguien como Borges, que incluy\u00f3 una antolog\u00eda de sus cuentos en la famosa Biblioteca de Babel, lanzada por Ediciones Siruela en los a\u00f1os ochentas del siglo pasado.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jos\u00e9 Homero. <\/strong><\/p>

Adem\u00e1s de poeta, es ensayista, cr\u00edtico literario, narrador, editor y periodista cultural.<\/strong><\/p>

Es autor de los libros de poes\u00eda: Sitio del verano (Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana, 1998; segunda edici\u00f3n: Instituto Literario de Veracruz, 2013); Vista env\u00e9s de un cuerpo (Universidad Veracruzana, 2000); Luz de viento (Fondo de Cultura Econ\u00f3mica, 2006); La ciudad de los muertos (FCE, 2012) y Funci\u00f3n de Mandelbrot (Fondo Editorial Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro, 2021).
Ha publicado tambi\u00e9n ensayo, compilador y traductor.\u00a0 Poemas suyos se incluyen en varias antolog\u00edas dedicadas a la poes\u00eda reciente de M\u00e9xico.
Ha sido miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte en varios periodos. Colabora regularmente en Letras Libres, Laberinto, suplemento cultural del peri\u00f3dico Milenio, y Luvina, revista de la Universidad de Guadalajara.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
