Para ello crearon leyes y tribunales, reflejo de los que ya exist\u00edan en Europa. Sin embargo, y a pesar de todas las nuevas intenciones, ni los novohispanos, ni los mexicanos, a quienes heredaron el mismo desprecio por el ocio improductivo, lograron erradicar el fen\u00f3meno. \u00bfC\u00f3mo era eso de perseguir y castigar vagos?
